MyLaxList was built by a lacrosse family who went through the recruiting process and came out the other side thinking: there has to be a better way.

Why we built this

When our athlete started the college search, we quickly realized the information was scattered, the process was opaque, and "fit" meant something different to every coach and every family. We spent hundreds of hours building spreadsheets, cross-referencing rosters, and trying to figure out which programs were realistic targets.

MyLaxList automates that research. We pull data on every NCAA and NAIA men's lacrosse program — rosters, academic profiles, costs, location — and score each one against your athlete's specific profile. The result is a ranked list of programs where your athlete is most likely to fit athletically, academically, financially, and personally.

We're not a recruiting service. We don't take fees from schools. We don't have sponsored results. We're just trying to give families the same information advantage that used to only come from expensive recruiting consultants or inside connections.

How the scoring works

Every program is scored across four dimensions:

You control how much each dimension matters. A family that prioritizes academics over athletics can weight the scores accordingly. The more you fill in, the more accurate your matches become.

Where the data comes from

We aggregate data from publicly available sources including college athletic department websites, IPEDS (the federal database of higher education statistics), NCAA and NAIA data, and official college roster pages. All school data is verified against federal UNITID records.

We update roster data regularly throughout the year. School-level data (academics, cost, location) is updated annually. If you spot something that looks wrong, email us at admin@mylaxlist.com.
